March 2016 – Stability and Instability: Navigating today’s complex insurance landscape

Posted March 3, 2016

The first few months of 2016 saw the return of volatility after a benign few years to financial markets and insurance balance sheets. Monetary policy globally swerved back to an accommodative stance, while the hunt for yield was reinforced. Meanwhile, the wider regulatory debate continued as policymakers worried about financial stability and insurers diffused further across the financial infrastructure, even as banks retreated.

Our first event of 2016, Stability and Instability: Navigating Today’s Complex Insurance Landscape, focused on understanding the current macroeconomic environment and how best to manage the complex risks out there.
